Meet Our Team

Meet our home manager

I began my career in care as a Care Assistant in a small residential home in 1989. With over 35 years of experience across residential, nursing, and dementia care, I have worked in a wide range of roles within care homes across the UK.

Throughout my career, I have gained recognised qualifications (NVQ3 and NVQ5) and progressed to become a trainer, supporting and developing others in delivering high-quality care. I have always believed in person centred care and am passionate about making a positive difference in people’s lives. To me, a care home should always feel welcoming, supportive, and full of warmth.

Here at The Old Vicarage in Otterton, East Devon, I am proud to work closely with residents, their families, and our dedicated team to ensure every individual receives the care and attention they deserve. Our team is compassionate, committed, and always willing to go the extra mile to create a happy, safe, and fulfilling environment for everyone who lives here.

As a family, we can only offer praise for the care my mother receives. The staff are brilliant, providing a safe and supportive environment with excellent food and a varied routine of activities. Following a fall, the care and attention she received were outstanding. We simply could not provide this level of care ourselves.
