We had our Harvest Festival with a difference this year - outside in our summer marquee so that we could socially distance and sing our praises! A beautiful day for our residents to enjoy the stunning displays of flowers, fruit and vegetables. Many thanks to Rev. Martin Jacques and Linda for a beautiful service, lovely to see them!

We have a bumper crop in the garden this year, with all the lovely weather we've had. Pat hands her produce over to Sue, so that she can work her magic in the kitchen! Our lucky residents will be getting healthy, nutritious meals, grown right here at The Old Vicarage. You can't get fresher than that!!

Residents and staff of The Old Vicarage were delighted today to be able to celebrate this wonderful ladys' 100th birthday. As she read her favourite poem to us, you could hear a pin drop. A wonderful talent and a special friend. Congratulations!

You know us at the Old Vicarage, any excuse for a party and a beautiful day is as good a reason as any! Luckily we have an expert cocktail bar maid and her team of waitresses to make sure our residents get their favourite drink!

Early March gave us an opportunity to get down the King's Arms in the village for a drink or two and good old natter. Little did we know that lockdown was on the way. Lucky we got out and about while we could. We'll be back when we can!

February 2020 brought us a visit from some very special feathered friends....

We are starting 2020 as we mean to go on! Our high tea party was full of fun, friendship and laughter, not to mention a lovely tea laid on!

Every Sunday our residents, staff and the family get together before lunch for a glass of sherry and to discuss themes in our local and national newspapers, often sparking a lively debate! This week for a change, we weren't just reading the news, we were the news! Two great articles in the Budleigh / Exmouth Journals and in the Exeter Daily, congratulating us on our national awards and on receiving an 'Oustanding' for caring following our CQC inspection.
